The Travel Hound Tail

Someone I know was looking for a 'something' to be able to take on walks, hikes, meet ups and more... it had to be lightweight and easily portable, durable, comfier than a blanket, waterproof and dirt resistant. Not much too ask right? well, After scouring the interweb for what seemed like forever, they simply could not find it.

 

That someone? Well... that was me!

 

So, I mused that if I was searching for this elusive 'something' surely others must be too and so I got to work designing my debut piece, 'The Mat'.

Knowing the nature of dogs, the ever-changing British weather and varied terrain across the British Isles, I knew whatever I designed for The Travel Hound, needed to be as durable and dependable as possible.

​

Waterproof, dirt-resistant and tear-resistant materials were non-negotiable — built to withstand a catchy claw, mud and those inevitable moments when they simply can’t resist diving into that stream on their favourite walk, because they deserve to live a fun-pact life! 

 

With this in mind plus the drive to create a perfect solution, I went on a painstaking search for the right materials, and, following some fun but rigorous testing of a variety of textiles, I set to work designing and making up what I knew would be a hit with dog owners all over the country (and beyond).

 

I now have a range of designs upon my ever-growing drawing board, and I intend to continue growing my collection to incorporate pieces which I am positive, will make dog’s lives happier and more comfortable, which is what all owners strive for, for their dogs.​
